The following guidelines explain how to use the keyword search effectively:
- All words or phrases (referred to as “Search Terms”) need double quotes around them.
Also, you need to separate search terms with the keywords “AND”, “OR”, “NEAR” or “AND NOT”
(upper or lower case).
Using the “AND” keyword specifies both terms before and after the “AND” must be found in the job
advert.
Similarly, using “OR” specifies either of the terms may be present in the job advert.
The “NEAR” keyword specifies the two terms must be in proximity to each other (a maximum of 50
words apart)
in the document. “AND NOT” is used in place of “AND” to exclude documents containing the term.

- You can search for an exact phrase by putting double quotes around it. You can also combine two
or more
phrases using the search keywords. Examples:

“Mount Everest” OR “Mount Kilimanjaro” OR “Marina
Trench”
- “North Pole” AND “South Pole”
- Search conditions may be nested using brackets and search keywords. This way you can build
complicated
search expressions to find exact matches. Examples:

“Investment Analyst” AND (“Finance” OR “Production”)

(“Engineering” OR “Maintenance”) AND (“Manager” OR “Engineer”)
- “Telecom Engineer” AND “Engineering” AND NOT (“japan” OR “korea”)

Punctuations such as commas, hypens and dots are
ignored. Search terms and keywords can be in upper or lower case, you will
still get the same results.
- Avoid using extremely common words like “I”, “you”,
“the”, “of”, etc. Such words are automatically ignored by the search.
