Context
  • To ensure strategic partnerships for TV Marketplace are in place as per OG ambitions and strategy.

  • To work closely with Content Providers, aggregators, OTT players and manage relationship with them.

  • Responsible for GTM strategy for the platform for each of the Opco and liaise with respective digital teams in Opcos.

The OTT Content Acquisition and Marketing Manager will be responsible for acquiring high-quality content, managing content partnerships, and developing marketing strategies to drive user engagement and subscription growth on Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms. This role involves content licensing, marketing campaigns, and collaboration with content creators and partners.

  • Manage content libraries and ensure timely updates and renewals.

  • Develop and implement content strategies to enhance the platform's content offering.

  • Collaborate with content creators to secure exclusive content and partnerships.

  • Analyse user data and feedback to make data-driven decisions on content selection and creation.

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote OTT platforms and content.

  • Develop user acquisition and retention strategies, including advertising, social media, and email marketing.

  • Monitor marketing performance and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.

  • Develop strategies to increase user engagement with content, including recommendations, playlists, and personalized experiences.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to enhance content discovery and navigation.

  • Analyze user data, viewer behavior, and market trends to identify content preferences and opportunities.

  • Use data insights to optimize content acquisition and marketing strategies.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with content partners, including negotiating partnership agreements.

  • Collaborate with content creators on promotional activities and co-branded content initiatives.

  • Manage the content acquisition and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies.

  • Track expenses, analyze ROI, and provide regular financial reports.

  • Communicate content acquisition and marketing strategies to internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Proven experience in content acquisition, content strategy, and digital marketing, preferably in the OTT or entertainment industry.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and understanding of content performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Creative thinking and ability to identify content trends. Experience in developing and implementing OTT technology strategies and establishing and maintaining strategic relationships.

  • Experience in implementing different monetization models for OTT platforms such as AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, FAST etc.

  • Preferably certified in Agile Methodology, and DevOps.

Qualifications
  • BSc in business administration, computer science or equivalent field and preferably MBA

  • International experience, preferably in the MENA and SEA regions
