Job overview
This position will work with the Ooredoo Group Leadership Team, the Opco CEOs and direct reports, the Manager Program Management will be accountable for the successful delivery of ESS Transformation Program by managing the Program Support Office. The program aims to implement a unified way of working across Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources with clear roles and responsibilities that eliminates redundancy and promotes efficiency.
The role will ensure a coordinated approach throughout Ooredoo, enabling Ooredoo operations to execute their mandates effectively.
The Senior Manager, Program Management, will be responsible for overseeing program scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring timely delivery plans. This role involves leading a team of Program Managers and reporting directly to senior leadership, with a focus on successful project delivery as well as managing post-go-live changes, upgrades, and releases
The role will report into the Director : Program Support and will be subject to Governance via ESS SteerCo and Program Leadership.
Your impact on our goals
Lead and manage a team of Program Managers, providing strategic direction, mentoring, and oversight to ensure consistent program delivery across all initiatives.
Oversee the execution of all program management tasks and functions led by the OpCo/Group, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
Provide regular, high-level status updates and progress reports on key program milestones, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
Ensure the overall delivery of solution design, build, test, and deployment activities executed by the System Integrator (SI), maintaining accountability for quality and timeliness.
Collaborate with workstream leads to monitor progress, manage performance, and ensure delivery of all activities within the SI’s scope.
Work closely with the SI to develop and maintain an integrated project plan that addresses scope, timeline, budget constraints, and risk mitigation strategies.
Facilitate effective coordination and communication across cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams, including on-site engagements where required.
Align with integrated scheduling and change control teams to ensure delivery plans are synchronized and adaptable to evolving program needs.
Identify, track, and escalate program-level dependencies, risks, and issues, proposing actionable mitigation and contingency plans.
Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment across internal teams, third-party vendors, and external partners to enable efficient decision-making and program governance.
Establish governance frameworks for ongoing enhancements, ensuring continued alignment with business goals and operational stability after go-live.
Manage post-go-live change requests, ensuring timely evaluation, prioritization, and implementation in alignment with business needs.
Oversee demand management by coordinating with business and IT teams to assess, plan, and fulfil new requirements and enhancements.
Lead release management and system upgrade activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and alignment with the overall IT roadmap.
Experience
15 years of Senior Management Experience
Minimum 5 years of Transformation experience
Minimum 5 years in sector industry
Work across diverse cultures and geographies
Proven track record of business improvement
High performing individual in a line management position, with strong standing to be perceived as peer for most management levels
Understanding of functional areas and/or products associated with specific initiative
Ability to drive change management work stream in a project context with limited guidance
Sound business judgment to ensure cultural aspirations are well integrated in performance improvement activities
Sufficient financial knowledge to understand business cases and consequences on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Ability to coach and train, including conducting group and one to one training
High level of energy and creativity for transformation, willingness to go the extra mile
Regional and international travel
Qualifications
University degree, Master’ preferred
