Job overview

Ooredoo Group Strategic Sourcing is responsible developing and implementing a sourcing strategy aligned with Ooredoo group strategy (growth, financial, brand etc) and which matches the needs of the group OpCo’s in their respective markets.

Its scope is coordinating sourcing activities and negotiating best terms with suppliers on major spend categories for Ooredoo Group through managing suppliers centrally where possible to ensure a ‘one voice’ strategy is communicated and to drive performance measures across all category sourcing to be implemented.

To realise synergies and savings, and master supplier relationships, the Group operating model needs to be supported by integrated sourcing systems and tools and implementation and training support coupled with a knowledge management process which will catalogue, store and control distribution of information

This role supports that aim through the management of the selection and management of those systems.

Your impact on our goals

Digital Transformation Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of the digital procurement transformation roadmap, aligned with OGSS and OpCo strategic priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI/ML, advanced analytics, and RPA to improve sourcing, supplier management, spend visibility, procurement and inventory management

  • Benchmark against industry best practices and emerging technologies to future-proof procurement.

Technology Implementation & Enablement

  • Oversee implementation of digital procurement platforms

  • Lead design of digital workflows, taxonomy, and data structures to support standardized procurement processes across OpCos.

  • Ensure user-friendly system design, functionality, and reporting capabilities that enable business adoption.

Process Digitalization & Standardization

  • Re-engineer procurement processes to maximize the value of digital tools.

  • Define governance frameworks, digital KPIs, and performance dashboards to measure impact of transformation.

  • Drive standardization of procurement data, classification, and reporting across Group and OpCos.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Partner with OpCo CPOs, category sourcing teams, Finance, Audit, and IT to align digital initiatives with business needs.

  • Drive adoption and change management, ensuring users are trained, supported, and motivated to embrace digital solutions.

  • Act as a thought leader and advisor to executives on digital procurement trends and value opportunities.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure, track, and communicate digital transformation impact on efficiency, savings, and supplier value.

  • Continuously improve systems and processes, incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders.

  • Ensure digital procurement remains agile and scalable as the Group evolves

Experience      
  • 10+ years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or transformation, with 5+ years in digital procurement or technology-enabled transformation.

  • Strong knowledge of digital procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) and ERP integration.

  • Expertise in process re-engineering, automation, and data-driven analytics.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation and technology adoption programs.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across OpCos and Group functions.

  • Analytical and innovative mindset, with ability to bridge business and technology requirements.

  • Excellent communication and change management skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Written/oral fluency in French/Arabic languages is preferred but not mandatory

Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor degree qualification, preferably in an IT or business/ discipline
