Job overview
  • The role-holder supports the Group Strategy and M&A department in driving the Group’s most critical crossfunctional strategic initiatives. The role plays a pivotal part in shaping, structuring, and executing highimpact projects aligned with the Group’s growth agenda, with an initial focus on data centers and AI/GPUasaservice, as well as other new strategic projects of the Group

  • The role holder acts as an extension of the project owner, ensuring content leadership, rigorous execution, and endtoend delivery across multiple workstreams.

Your impact on our goals

Strategic Initiative Delivery

  • Support the planning, design, and execution of crossfunctional strategic initiatives in alignment with Group strategic and financial objectives.

  • Coown project scopes, delivery plans, and executive materials, ensuring clear articulation of problems, approaches, and strategic options.

  • Drive structured analysis, business cases, commercial models, and recommendations for senior leadership.

Content Leadership & Subject-Matter Support

  • Develop substantive content in areas related to data centers, AI/GPU-as-a-service, and new adjacencies.

  • Conduct market scans, competitor intelligence, partner assessments, and scenario modelling to guide strategic choices.

  • Translate conceptual strategy into actionable workstreams with measurable KPIs and milestones.

Project Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead governance routines (e.g. SteerCos, crossBU checkpoints) and track progress across all stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with Group and OpCo teams across commercial, operations, technology, finance, legal, procurement, etc.

  • Ensure risks, dependencies, and escalation points are well-managed and communicated.

Expansion of Data Center and AI/GPU Strategy

  • Provide support in driving the territorial and scope expansion of Ooredoo’s data center and AI/GPU offerings.

  • Work closely with Syntys on performance insights while leading the strategic expansion and new territory feasibility assessments.

  • Evaluate partnership, JV, or M&A opportunities for the expansion of Data Centers and AI/GPU offerings.

Strategic Project Origination & Pipeline Support

  • Assist in shaping the pipeline of new strategic projects approved under the updated Group strategy.

  • Evaluate new initiatives, structure problem statements, define approach, and provide analytical leadership during early-stage exploration.

Executive Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare executive-level presentations, Board papers, and investor communications related to strategic projects .

  • Communicate complex strategic topics succinctly to senior executives, shareholders, and external partners.

  • Represent the department in cross-organizational discussions with senior management and external stakeholders.

Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, investment analysis, in telco industry or digital infrastructure.

  • Experience in data centers and AI infrastructure strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record managing cross-functional initiatives with seniorlevel exposure.

  • Experience structuring financial/business models and strategic assessments

Skills and competencies

  • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving.

  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling capabilities.

  • High-level communication and executive presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and lead cross-functional alignment.

  • Understanding of digital infrastructure, AI technologies, and emerging tech trends preferred.

  • Project ownership mindset with ability to drive end-to-end execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field.

  • Master’s degree (MBA, Strategy, Finance, or Technology Management) preferred

  • Must have worked in developing markets, ideally in a multinational environment
