Role Purpose
Completely in line with Ooredoo Kuwait Business strategy, the corporate Security planning duties is to plan, build and update the most robust end to end security environment that will protect all Ooredoo Kuwait staff and business.
The six cornerstones of OOREDOO IT Security Program are:
- Prevention.
- Protection.
- Security platform planning
- Detection/Investigation.
- Incident Assessment and Damage Control.
- Recovery.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Work with multiple teams throughout IT and Network on remediation activities.
- Advise on system security requirements, architectural designs, and secure software development.
- Participate in Incident Response activities.
- Ability to implement, maintain and monitor high availability cyber threat technical countermeasures.
- Hands-on experience with network intrusion prevention and detection systems.
- Hands-on experience in performing application layer penetration tests and infrastructure vulnerability scans.
- Knowledge of network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment.
- Have a solid understanding of common vulnerabilities associated with operating systems, applications, network elements.
- Ability to perform network protocol analysis and raw data capture.
- An understanding of dynamic routing protocols and static routing.
- Some proficiency in programming and scripting languages common to security such as Perl, PHP, or Python.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in making presentation to
- both technical and executive level audiences.
- Keep informed of technological advances and industry best practices in order to assess their possible adaptation for use in increasing Ooredoo’ s technological superiority.
- Plan, upgrade and implement Technology Security platforms for information, physical and people security
- Perform security assessments and penetration tests against applications and infrastructure components
- Manage security-centric infrastructure components such as VPN concentrator, firewalls, IPS, centralized access control, CCTV, Cameras, DDOS
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Telecommunication / Electronic Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.
Other Information
- 6+ year’s relevant experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of GSM and UMTS networks.
- General Telecom industry knowledge.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.
- Good command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage.Strong Analytical skills.

- Strong Technical skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
