Role Summary

The Transmission & Hosting services engineer will be responsible for implementation, operation and maintenance for Wataniya hosting locations including the domains of: Transmission, power, cooling and infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Optical Nodes installation, commissioning and testing as per plan and standards.
• Daily operations & maintenance, health check, error check, performance monitoring of hosting services (power, cooling and infrastructure).
• Performing site acceptance and assuring quality of contractors installation work.
• Scheduling preventive maintenance for network elements and monitor the quality of network/maintenance services.
• Optical termination on ODF as per plans and standards.
• E1s termination on DDF as per plans and standards.
• Coordinating with the Contractors/Consultants/Suppliers and Sub-Contractors.
• Visiting sites during both the construction and operation phases and reporting by the status.
• Be able to use all testing and measuring tools and equipment.
• Analysing and classifying Faults.
• Any related duties based on business needs.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering (Power or telecom).
• 2 years experience within the same field or industry. (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Strong knowledge of transmission standards and technologies (e.g. PDH, SDH, Ethernet, fiber optics)
• Strong knowledge of telecom related power systems (e.g. DC power system, UPS, datacenters cooling, telecom room infrastructure).

• Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).
• Computer Literacy knowledge (MS Office, AutoCAD).
• Hold a valid driving license.
• Jerusalem ID is a must.
