Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operations related to VAS & Digital platforms.

  • Handle incidents and troubleshoot applications problems.

  • Handle and monitor VAS & Digital applications and upgrades with the vendor.

  • Participate in application integration with other network elements.

  • Monitor system capacity (HW, SW, licenses) to meet business requirements.

  • Prepare all procedures and documents related to daily operation and update them after system upgrade if needed.

  • Monitor and maintain all interfaces between VAS & Digital platforms and other network elements.

  • Prepare required statistical reports.

  • Handle end user complaints on VAS & Digital related services within SLA.

  • Work closely with 2nd and 3rd line support to solve customers complains

  • Perform proactive maintenance procedures (daily, weekly and monthly) to keep systems within required performance.

  • Work closely with business owners and other departments to design and deliver product services.

  • Configure and administer USSD based applications and USSG GW configurations platforms and USSD Gateways.

  • Participate in development tasks related to VAS & Digital platforms.

  • Any other assigned tasks by direct supervisor.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related role; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience in application development using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • Familiarity with additional technologies including C, C++, HTML, CSS, and mobile development (Android, iOS).

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.

  • Experience with databases such as Oracle and MySQL, including basic configuration.

  • Proficiency in Unix and Linux operating systems.

  • Basic knowledge of GSM principles and standards.

  • Handle critical and complicated tasks under work pressure

  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).

  • Computer Literacy knowledge (Microsoft).

  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency with MS Office suit (mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  •  Deliver tasks on time

  • Solve customer complains within SLA

  • Deliver configurations and change requests to business owners according to requirements and within required timeframe

  • Accountability and responsibility

  • Reporting accuracy and timeliness – daily, weekly and monthly reports delivered on time and meeting customer requirements for content and accuracy

  • Summit report about emergencies and incidents to direct manager

  • Documentation of VAS & Digital platforms (handover documents, manuals, configurations, diagrams, etc).

  • Knowledge share with other VAS employees

  • Keeps direct manager informed of area activities and of any significant concerns

  • Good coordination and working relationships with related departments and units as well as venders and partners
