About the Business Unit
Strategy is a specific set of actions designed to achieve a specific goal. The art of strategy is to take long term goals and translate them into easily understandable actions. Without a clear strategy it is likely that significant value is left on the table or lost. Thus the Strategy Department is responsible for undertaking activities which will facilitate the Strategic Planning process enabling Strategy to be developed within the business which ultimately enables Ooredoo to identify its strategic priorities year on year.
About the Role
The role holder role is responsible for the day to day work involved in creating the corporate strategy and facilitating the BU strategy development for the Technology functions. This role is also responsible for conducting strategic reviews and presentations on relevant trends and hot industry topics as related to the technology areas of the business.

About the Candidate
You should have at least
• 12 years business experience or equivalent is preferred of which a minimum of 4 years is in the telecoms environment.
• Experience in broad telecoms environment, either as a planning individual or in the technology area is a must.
• Experience in developing corporate strategy is critical.
• Knowledge of the Middle East telecom environment is helpful.
• Knowledge of incorporating research results and data analysis in decision making processes is a plus.
• Able to undertake industry and trend analysis as well as to analyse financial and business models.
• Proven ability to use the Balanced Scorecard methodologies.
