ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Overview:

• Prepare/review tender documents, drawing plans, prepare bills of quantity and drafting requisition documents.
• Oversee the working of the tendering committee.
• Prepare contracts for works. Approve payments to contractors and variations to contracts.
• Supervise and monitor deployment of funds & CEPs involved in construction of building projects.
• Prepare with manager budget programs and schedules to ensure optimum utilization of funds execution of projects.
• Negotiate and preparation variation orders/site work instructions for works to be performed by the Head &
• Senior Engineer or the consultants/contractors on the basis of approved estimates.
• Receive, check and verify accuracy of contractors invoice by visiting and inspecting the site of work

Makes recommendations on a day to day basis about aspects of contracting

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

 

• Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or a qualification in quantity surveying
• 5 years experience in civil engineering is required out of which at least 5 years in quantity surveying.
