The Role

• Support the electrical planning and implementation team in managing site construction activities for switching sites, core sites, and base stations to contribute to the development and expansion of Ooredoo Telecom's GSM, LTE, 5G, datacenter, and access network infrastructure.

• Assist in the execution of electrical implementation activities, including site coordination, progress monitoring, documentation, and compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, while working under the guidance of senior team members.

• Contribute to project delivery by completing assigned tasks efficiently, resolving routine technical issues, and gaining practical experience in network infrastructure deployment and project implementation.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of electrical and mechanical power requirements for base station sites, switching sites, data centres, and access network locations in line with approved project plans and management targets.

• Maintain accurate records, databases, technical documentation, and reports to support network planning, implementation, and project tracking activities.

• Support contractor monitoring through site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, engineering standards, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in monitoring construction and implementation activities to support the timely delivery of network sites within approved schedules and quality standards.

• Assist in the construction and implementation of diesel generator (DG) sites in compliance with applicable EPA and local regulatory requirements.

• Support initiatives to reduce diesel generator (DG) dependency by facilitating grid power connectivity and other approved power optimization initiatives.

• Review electrical implementation drawings, specifications, design documents, equipment manuals, and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Support the execution of electrical and mechanical installation works in accordance with approved project requirements, contract guidelines, and implementation schedules.

• Assist the team in implementing environmentally sustainable power solutions, including Solar Hybrid and other green energy technologies, to support ESG objectives.

• Assist in evaluating power availability, power consumption, and AC/DC power system requirements for new and existing network sites.

• Participate in site acceptance testing and verification of electrical installations to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

• Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and tracking of electrical materials, and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Assist in preparing and updating electrical drawings, layouts, and documentation for network sites and company facilities.

• Support the operation, review, and maintenance of AC and DC power systems across the network infrastructure.

• Assist in verifying completed site works, supporting work confirmations, and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy prior to approval.

• Assist the team in coordinating Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) meter updates, bill payments, and periodic clearance certificate issuance.

• Support cross-functional teams by providing technical assistance during project implementation and maintenance activities.

• Escalate technical issues, project risks, and implementation challenges to senior engineers and management in a timely manner.

• Assist the team in ensuring compliance with EPA, ESG, and other applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering procedures, technical documentation, and operational workflows.Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

• Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering

Skills & Required Experiences

• 1- 2 yrs for Eng. Level is an advantage

• Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.

• Excellent command of both written and verbal Arabic and English

• Analytical skills
