The Role

Supports the procurement function by executing sourcing activities, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. In addition, supports in managing sourcing and procurement activities for telecom infrastructure, IT systems, and operational services. The role ensures cost efficiency, operational productivity, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders

  • Ensure accuracy of specifications, quantities, and pricing

  • Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery

  • Resolve issues related to delays, discrepancies, or quality concerns

  • Support in the development and execution of procurement strategies for telecom equipment, network infrastructure, IT systems, and services.

  • Prepare and draft contracts based on input received from commercial, technology, and other user departments.

  • Review supporting contract documentation, ensuring alignment with Supply Chain policies and procedure prior to contract signatures.

  • Collaborate with the Legal Department to ensure all contracts comply with the company’s terms and conditions, safeguarding the company’s interests at all times

  • Communicate with approved vendors for quotations and order confirmations

  • Maintain supplier records and documentation

  • Support supplier onboarding and prequalification processes

  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance (delivery timelines, quality, responsiveness)

  • Assist in preparing RFQs/RFPs and collecting vendor responses

  • Compile commercial comparisons and evaluation summaries

  • Support negotiations by gathering pricing data and benchmark

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through price comparisons and vendor options

  • Ensure purchases align with approved budgets

  • Maintain records for spend tracking and reporting

  • Proactively take responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.

Required Experiences & Skills
  • 0-2 years of experience based on progression ladder.

  • Dealing and negotiating with vendors, suppliers and consultants.

  • Good organisational skills

  • Strong customer focus and good interpersonal skills.

  • Fluent verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English.

  • Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivities.

  • MS Office

  • Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard office software.

  • Must understands integrated supply chain concepts

  • Must be knowledgeable in planning and forecasting systems (MRP/ERP/CRM)

  • Must have experience in implementing Planning/Forecasting system

  • Understanding of all Procurement processes and in particular to bid and tender evaluation processes

  • Aware of Freight and Overseas Contracts terms and conditions.
