The Role
Operate and Maintain Circuit Core, Packet Core, IMS core, ISP and 5G core. To provide optimal daily Operational / Service Assurance of Hardware, Software, Applications for the systems handled by the Managed Services Vendor. To ensure the service deliverables to the customers is provided as per agreed SLA. Supporting the expansion, upgrades, project in these domains to launch new services, increasing system capacities to cater more traffic and users.
Key Accountabilities and Activities
Maintain SLA for TT’s, Performance KPI’s, Network Availability, and Change Management and co-ordinates with the Managed Services Vendor.
Provides assistance in developing and implementing procedures and standards that will provide effective workflows and satisfy the business needs of Ooredoo Telecom.
Ensures implementation of regular system health check, including detecting and solving problems, and document by the Managed Services Vendor. Troubleshoots errors to first-line level and escalates those which exceed capacity and capability.
Ensure that daily health check reports, fault reports, customer complaints are handled as per SLA and make sure that corrective actions are taken.
Ensures implementation of daily maintenance and support tasks on Servers, Circuit Core, Packet Core (5G/5G SA), IMS Core and ISP.
Ensures that system security is always maintained.
Manages regular back-up schedules of subscriber and system related data to ensure availability in case of disaster scenarios.
Maintains emergency, back-up records in off-site locations to ensure continuity of operations and system integrity.
Ensure Availability, E2E Qos and Performance metrics of ISP is measured and fixed diligently upon identification of any anomalies
Ensure the performance of all Top apps and Games are maintained and are in accordance with quality standards set.
Ensures that spare parts inventory is always maintained and initiate procurement action to replenish supplies.
Performs routine audits of network statistics recommending remedial action where necessary.
Monitors network statistics using Performance Management Tool and take corrective action on the faults.
Provides support on special project as and when assigned by seniors and superiors.
Maintains internal contact on an operational level.
Meets quality and performance KPI’s with the required supporting documents.
Serves as a secondary back up for the members of other teams (as assigned by seniors and superiors).
Ensures achievement of system and related service availability as per agreed SLA for all systems handled by the Department.
Ensures that the Fault Report and Quality Report is issued with vendors at the appropriate time for any system malfunctioning and ensure that vendor is responding within the required time limit.
Liaises with Managed Services Vendor for implementation of software and hardware upgrades, error corrections packages, patches.
Ensures implementation of system integration and acceptance tests.
Ensures that procedures and methodologies are reviewed and approved before they are adopted into production environments. This includes software upgrades, new patches, system notifications, database configurations and any other network affecting procedure that may affect the agreed SLA.
Ensures compliance with all National Mobile Telecommunications Company, Division and department procedures and policies.
Automates routine tasks and improve the efficiency using latest technologies including AI.
Provide analysis and reports of NW performance, fault reports, NW and service availability as and when required.
Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
Other duties as directed by superiors.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
Other Information
1-2 years of experience as a System Engineer in a wireless Telecom market is an advantage.
basic knowledge and understanding of NSS Circuit / Packet Core Nodes/IMS Core,
basic knowledge of 5G,
Good knowledge of Data analytics
Good Knowledge of Latest AI tools
Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.
Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage.Analytical skills
