The Role

• Support the daily operation and maintenance of Sites equipment’s, components and RAN network elements, including hardware, software, and applications, by coordinating with vendor teams and internal stakeholders to help ensure the delivery of reliable voice and data services in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs), while maintaining network performance and service availability.

• Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of telecommunications network infrastructure by assisting in network monitoring, implementation, vendor coordination, and performance evaluation to ensure network reliability, service quality, and compliance with operational standards and service level agreements.

• Conduct evaluations and Audits for BSS (2G, 4G, 5G), DAS and power systems, infrastructure and MW Transmission in order to provide Ooredoo Telecom with an operationally effective support for maintaining the network. 

Key Accountabilities and Activities

• Provide first-line technical support for Power, Air Conditioning, and BSS/RAN network elements, escalating complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors as required.

• Monitor network health, fault alarms, customer complaints, and Trouble Tickets (TTs), and support timely fault investigation and resolution within agreed SLAs.

• Perform routine maintenance and operational support for servers, network equipment, communication systems, and associated infrastructure.

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for BSS/RAN, microwave (MW), repeater, power, and associated network infrastructure.

• Participate in periodic health checks, audits, backups, and performance reviews of BSS/RAN network elements, including 2G, 4G, and 5G networks, and report findings to senior engineers.

• Monitor Trouble Tickets (TTs) and follow up with relevant teams to support resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Assist in maintaining system security controls, backup procedures, and disaster recovery documentation to support business continuity.

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure maintenance, upgrade, and implementation activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and maintenance windows.

• Monitor vendor activities and verify that contracted services are delivered in accordance with agreed support requirements and Approve Work confirmations against performance with submitted Invoices.

• Participate in site acceptance testing, inspections, preventive maintenance verification, and

• quality audits to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

• Assist in monitoring spare parts inventory, material requests, replenishment activities, and maintain accurate records of hardware assets and consumables.

• Coordinate site access requests and ensure required permits and site passes are obtained before scheduled activities.

• Support coordination with internal teams, contractors, vendors, site owners, and relevant authorities regarding operational and maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate site documentation, equipment records, rack layouts, and network configuration databases.

• Collect and analyse network outage reports, Trouble Tickets, and performance data, and support implementation of corrective actions to improve network quality and availability.

• Follow up with the Ministry of Electricity (MEW) regarding planned maintenance activities impacting Ooredoo Kuwait operations.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with EPA, Kuwait Fire Dept (KFD), and other applicable local regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Escalate operational issues, risks, and service-impacting incidents to senior engineers and management in a timely manner.

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures, standards, and technical documentation.

• Supervise the work of direct reports to ensure they meet their objectives, are kept motivated and perform in accordance with their job description.

• Undertake regular on the job training to ensure that direct reports have the necessary skills to undertake new or existing responsibilities.

• Delegate responsibility to direct reports, in accordance with their role and ability, to ensure they are developed and maximise their potential.

• Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

• Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering with appropriate registration through a recognised professional institute

Other Information

• 1- 2 yrs for Eng.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of Network and power.

• Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, Power Point etc.

• Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantageAnalytical skills
