The Role
Support the monitoring, analysis, reporting, and follow-up of Radio Access and Transport Network quality to ensure optimum customer experience and network performance.
Assist in detecting and escalating network performance degradations, analyzing KPIs, validating benchmarking results, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to drive corrective actions and continuous network quality improvements.
Key Accountabilities and Activities
Support regular and periodic performance monitoring checks for Radio Access and Transport Network services to help ensure customers receive the expected service quality.
Assist in monitoring 2G/3G/4G/5G radio performance trends, transport performance indicators, and service quality dashboards.
Escalate abnormal trends, degradations, or repeated failures to the Senior Engineer or Manager for further action.
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports related to Radio and Transport KPIs, network quality trends, benchmarking results, and customer-impacting issues.
Support the preparation of reports required for Ooredoo Group, technical committee, operations meetings, finance reports, planning reports, and management dashboards.
Assist in identifying access network and transport network degradations and coordinate with Radio, Transport, Operations, Planning, NOC, and other concerned teams for investigation and resolution.
Follow up on corrective actions after network changes, upgrades, or incidents affecting Access Network or Transport performance.
Support Competitor Network Benchmark (CNB) activities and internal Ooredoo Network Benchmark initiatives.
Assist in KPI benchmarking with local competitors using the monitoring platforms.
Highlight gaps, inconsistencies, and potential issues for review by the Senior Engineer or Manager.
Support the maintenance of Radio and Transport KPIs by validating counters, checking KPI mapping, identifying missing or inconsistent data, and assisting in baseline checks.
Assist in maintaining Network Quality KPIs and validating KPI mappings from source counters collected from network systems.
Assist in analysing Radio and Transport parameters and follow up with relevant teams on inconsistencies or KPI-impacting configurations.
Escalate discrepancies in counters, parameters, or reports to the responsible teams
Support the use of monitoring tools, benchmarking tools, and related OSS/SQM/CEM platforms used by the department.
Assist in analysing network quality, customer experience, and service performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
Support the preparation and maintenance of Network Quality dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
Assist in updating dashboards, extracting reports, validating tool outputs, and supporting installation/configuration activities when required.
Support the use of AI-driven analytics, service assurance, customer experience management, and automation tools adopted by the department.
Support data-driven investigations and root-cause analysis for network quality and customer experience issues.
Assist in documenting work instructions, checklists, routine monitoring procedures, reporting templates, and workflow updates.
Support the team in creating and updating processes for quality monitoring and issue follow-up. Identify and escalate customer-impacting issues affecting service experience.
Support customer experience investigations and service quality reviews.
Support post-implementation validation of network changes, upgrades, and parameter modifications affecting Radio and Transport networks.
Verify quality and performance KPIs following planned network activities.
Assist in identifying service degradations introduced by network changes and follow up with relevant teams.
Coordinate with internal teams such as Radio, Transport, NOC, Core, IT, Operations, vendors, Customer Experience and Planning for problem analysis, issue clarification, and resolution follow-up.
Take responsibility for continuous learning and self-improvement in Radio Access, Transport, SQM, CEM, KPIs, benchmarking, and telecom monitoring tools.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
Other Information
Require 0–3 years of experience in Radio Access Network, Transport Network, Network Quality, Network Operations, or telecom performance monitoring.
Basic understanding of 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies, architecture and Optimization skills.
Basic understanding of Radio & Transport parameters and KPIs.
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Grafana or similar analytics platforms is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of SQL or data analysis is an advantage.
Exposure to network monitoring tools, benchmarking tools, OSS, SQM, CEM or drive
test tools would be an advantage.
Good command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage
Basic analytical and troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of Radio Access and Transport KPIs
Ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries
Good Excel and data handling skills
Basic understanding of telecom network architecture
Ability to identify abnormal trends and escalate issues clearly
Good communication and coordination skills
Willingness to learn monitoring tools, benchmarking tools, OSS/SQM/CEM platforms, and network performance systems
